The WSN15 series will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of WisSports.net by looking back at the top players, teams, and moments of the past 15 years (2003-2017).

We begin our WSN15 series with the Top 15 Moments of the WSN Era.

TOP 15 MOMENTS: #11 - Lancaster's second half rally shocks Kewaunee

Lancaster has been one of the best programs in the state since John Hoch became head coach, with seven WIAA state championships, tied for the most in state history. It was the sixth title for the Flying Arrows that many people remember best.

That 2006 team wasn't in good shape at halftime against Kewaunee in the Division 5 championship game, however, trailing 14-0 with just 58 yards of offense and two first downs before the break.

The Flying Arrows got an earful from head coach John Hoch at halftime, but knew it was up to them as players to get things turned around. It took until the fourth quarter for Lancaster to make a dent in the scoreboard however.

Still trailing 14-0, the Flying Arrows took over with good field position at the Kewaunee 40-yard line, as 9:57 remained in the game. On the first play, Brian Dressler hit Adam Hampton for a 40-yard touchdown, as Lancaster finally got on the board.

Kewaunee would go backwards on its next drive, as Lancaster again took over with good field position. It was Dressler to Hampton again, this time from 22 yards out, as the Flying Arrows tied the game with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter.

Kewaunee would go three-and-out on its possession, taking up just 45 seconds, as Lancaster took over at its own 36-yard line with 1:06 left in the game. After two incomplete passes, Dressler checked at the line of scrimmage to a dive play to fullback Tyler Landon, who broke several tackles en route to a 63-yard touchdown that gave Lancaster a 21-14 lead, and its sixth WIAA state title.

It was an incredible comeback for the Flying Arrows, who trailed 14-0 at the start of the fourth quarter and were still behind by a score with under two minutes left.
