After months of holding two Division I-FCS scholarship offers, and being on the very cusp of receiving his first Division I-FBS offer, Hudson offensive lineman
Sam Cunningham (6-5, 310) has finally seen his dream become a reality by way of a Mid-American Conference school.
Already listing scholarship offers from Southern Illinois and North Dakota, Cunningham garnered his third offer to date this week thanks to Eastern Michigan University.
EMU offensive line coach Kurt Anderson placed a telephone call to Cunningham to discuss the offer while head coach Ron English is expected to call next week to discuss the Eagles' football program and taking an official visit.
A second-team all-conference selection as a junior, Cunningham didn't allow a sack and amassed over 100 pancake blocks and knockdowns as a senior this season. Cunningham is a Joe Thomas Award finalist for the state's most outstanding senior offensive lineman.
