U18 Hockey Update: Get Ready For The WEHL Thing

The tier 2 Wisconsin Elite Hockey League (WEHL ) will showcase it’s talent this weekend at the 3rd annual North American Showcase tournament in Fond Du Lac, WI.  Click here for this weekend’s schedule.

U18 Elite Division

There’s one weekend left in the “before” season and one question as well… who is really on top at the U18 level?  A quick recap to get you up to speed.  Milwaukee (2-7-2) is in last place in its division, but has played five less games than co-league leader, North Central (8-7-1).  Madison Black (8-5-1), Northeast (7-6-2), Madison White (5-4-5) and the Western team (5-6-3) are bottle necked near the top as well.  I love it.  Bragging rights basically come down to this, the final weekend.

Last weekend, the Northeast team had a huge win against a semi-short handed North Central squad, 7-1.  Madison Black and Madison White skated to a 3-3 tie.  The Western Team beat Madison White 4-2, but also dropped a game to the Madison Black 5-2 and Milwaukee fell short to the North Central team, 7-5.

The parity in the league has set up an awesome finish at the NA Showcase.  The winner will certainly walk away “King Of The Ring” (until next spring's state tourney).
