UW Badger Hockey Recruits: Schmaltz Makes His USHL Debut And Dahl Lights The Lamp
posted by Chris Walby at 11/6/2009
I was combing through the junior scoreboards last night and discovered that UW Badger recruit Jordan Schmaltz made his USHL debut last night for the Sioux City Musketeers. Jordan was held off the score sheet. Schmaltz joins two other future Badgers in Sioux City, former Mosinee Indian, Chase Drake and Appleton United’s, Matt Paape. Paape (3-3-6) is second on the team in scoring and Drake leads the team in penalty minutes with 19 minutes. Wes Wauters (Ashwaubenon) has played in 5 of the 10 games for the Musketeers.
Badger recruit, Jefferson Dahl (Eau Claire Memorial), scored last night for Youngstown (USHL). Dahl’s goal sparked a three goal second period and the Phantoms went on to win 4-3. Badger recruit Cody Strang (Edgewood) and David Donnellan (Eau Claire Memorial) were held off the score sheet for the Phantoms in the win.
