Who Am I? Round 2 Results and Round 3 Clue

Congratulations to those of you that chose Kelly Frings (Pius XI) as the answer to the most recent WHO AM I?  Kelly and I spoke briefly about her future plans and the upcoming season...

JA -  Kelly, we all know you have verbally committed to Bradley University, what made Bradley that "right fit" for you?

KF - After visiting a number of colleges, Bradley felt like the place I could call home for the next four years and where I could take my game to the next level.  I was completely comfortable with the coaching staff, campus, Peoria, and the curriculum just fit me.

JA - What other schools were you considering before you made your decision?

KF - Ball State, Miami (OH), Northern Iowa, Air Force, Princeton, and Youngstown State were the other schools I had narrowed my choices down to.

JA - Once you graduate and head to Peoria, what do you think will be the hardest adjustment for you in the collegiate game?

KF - Size and intensity.  My match-ups will be bigger, faster and stronger plus the game will be much quicker so that will take some time to adjust to.

JA - Let's talk a little about this upcoming season...what are you looking most forward to for your senior basketball season?

KF -  Having a successful year.  In my eyes, we have a pretty competitive schedule, combined with a young and talented team that should equal some fun and exciting games this year.  It's my hope to keep playing into March, right into Madison!

JA - Speaking of competitive schedules, have you looked at your schedule and do you have one game in particular that you are looking forward to?

KF - We play DSHA and I am excited for that game.  They ended our season last year and we just have a classic school rivalry with them.

JA - Once your high school career is over and you have a chance to look back at what you have done, what do you think you will remember most?

KF -  In ten years I will remember living in a gym with the number coaches and teammates I've had.  I take pride in being the first one in the gym and the last one to leave, that's a trait passed down from great players and teammates before me. I cease to be satisfied with my game so I always have an urge to keep playing and practicing, for my teams future successes.

JA - If you could pick one person Kelly to sit and have lunch with, who would that be and why?

KF - John Wooden. Coach Wooden is a man of integrity, respect, faith, and success-not to mention a wealth of basketball knowledge. I have read many of his books and admire what he has done on and off the court.

WHO AM I?

I have already become the leading scorer in our girl’s programs history with 1225 points and I am only 25 points away from becoming the all-time leading scorer in school history.  I have been a unanimous all-conference player the past three seasons and was named Player of the Year in my conference last year.  I was also named to the WBCA All-State team last season.  My goal this season is to win conference for the first time in my school’s history.  I also am involved with volleyball and track.  Who am I?
