Congrats to all of you that thought our last clue was for Westfield High School standout Katie Raymond. Katie is in the midst of making some college decisions, but took some time to answer a few questions with me...
JA - Katie, you are obviously in the process of narrowing down your college decision. As you near that decision, what are you looking for and what will make a college the "perfect" fit for you? KR - I’m looking for a college with the pre-dental program right now. Having my major is obviously really important.
JA - What are you looking forward to most about your senior season? KR - Hopefully bringing that Conference Title home for the first time!
JA - Katie you are already the leading female scorer in Westfield history and only 25 points away from being the all-time leading scorer. How does that make you feel? KR - It's an amazing feeling to know that only one girl in the school's history has scored 1,000 points and that one girl was me. I feel honored to have scored 1,000 points in my junior year which is something that not many players do. And, it's an even better feeling to know that one day I could be Westfield's all-time leading scorer!
JA - What kind of things have you done to help you get to this point in your career? KR - Hard work and dedication are two big things that got me to be the player I am today. The other thing would be all the time and effort my dad put into making me a great player. He also gave me the push and determination to want to better my game at every chance I got.
JA - When you look back on your high school career, what do you hope people remember about you? KR - It's not so much of people remembering me, as them remembering what I have accomplished, not just in basketball but also in volleyball and track and field. I want all the younger kids that have ever attended the games to see that if you put in all the time and effort that I have, it will pay off.
With Raymond only being 25 points away from being the all-time leading scorer at Westfield, she will continue to be a popular topic on the site.

WHO AM I? I was player of the year last year in my conference, a first team selection as a sophomore and honorable mention as a freshman. Last season I helped my team by averaging 13.6 points a game and have scored a total of 720 points in my career. When you look at me, you would NEVER guess I am a point guard. This year I am looking forward to playing both Milwaukee King and Milwaukee Vincent and one of my most memorable moments in my career has been beating King my freshman year at state (it was my team's first win at the state tournament ever)! Although I am a very talented basketball player, I have accepted a scholarship to play softball at Wisconsin. WHO AM I?
