Champions crowned at 2024 WIAA State Track & Field Meet

Bangor's Sam Crenshaw won a state championship and set a new D3 state meet record in the pole vault

Team and individual champions were crowned at the 2022 State Track and Field Meet in La Crosse on Friday and Saturday.

The event was headlined by Rice Lake's Eliana Sheplee, who joined rare company as a four-time event champion, capturing the Division 2 400-meters in a time of 55.84 seconds.

In team results, the Arrowhead boys team captured the title in Division 1 with 60 points, marking the fourth consecutive season the Warhawks have won at least a share of the title. Defending champ Lakeside Lutheran posted one of the most dominating team performances we've seen to claim the Division 2 boys team title, scoring 81 points to runner-up Somerset's 37 points. Iola-Scandinavia ran away with the Division 3 crown, scoring 45 points.

On the girls side, it was Arrowhead dominating the competition with 67 points. It was a shared title in Division 2 between Freedom and Rice Lake. Deerfield was the champion in Division 3, as the Demons' 42 points were enough to outscore second place Cameron.

Sun Prairie East won the girls wheelchair team title, with Marquette capturing the boys crown.
