The 30th annual Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Exposure Camp concluded Tuesday at Viterbo University in La Crosse.

Following are some end-of-the-camp news and notes.

A total of 93 players at the WBY Camp were divided into 10 different teams.

Following are the Most Valuable Players for each of the teams at camp based upon the recommendations of the coach of each squad:

Eastern Conference

Bucks
Sam Wegener, 6-4, Sr., G, Clintonville
An impressive athlete with good physical strength and verticality, Wegener earned second-team all-North Eastern Conference honors as a junior. He made three-point shots at the WBY Camp and can get on a roll from deep. Wegener also finished above the rim on multiple occasions, and was aggressive and confident with the ball in his hands. He averaged 14.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 2023-24, helping Clintonville to a 17-9 record. Wegener begins his senior season as a three-year varsity performer for the Truckers.

Nets
Jesse Napgezek, 6-3, Sr., G, Wausau East
Perhaps the MVP of the entire camp, Napgezek is outstanding with the ball in his hands. He can definitely create for himself and is able to score from three-point range, off the dribble all the way to the rim, and from mid range. He is also a solid play maker for his teammates. A unnanimous first-team all-Wisconsin Valley Conference pick as a junior, Napgezek is a versatile player and a good athlete who can defend wing players. He averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 2023-24 while helping Wausau East to a 19-8 record.

Raptors
Blake Risler, 6-2, Jr., G, Regis
A shot seeker and a shot maker, Risler looks to score with the ball in his hands. He can get into the lane off the bounce and rise up to score, but is at his best with his feet set and letting go from three-point range. One of the top long-distance shooters at the WBY Camp, Risler is a scorer who earned first-team all-Western Cloverbelt Conference recognition as a sophomore when he averaged 20.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He teams with senior Owen Weisenberger to form a terrific backcourt tandem at Regis.

Heat
Preston Johnson, 6-2, Sr., PG, River Falls
A true pass-first point guard, Johnson is outstanding when he has the ball in his hands. He sees the entire floor, can pinpoint passes to open teammates with zip, and has developed very good go-top moves to get his shot. A second-team all-Big Rivers Conference player as a junior, Johnson is a stellar athlete with very good physical strength and a strong desire to win. Also a standout defensive end in football, Johnson is definitely one of the top point guards in the state's 2025 class. 

Pacers
Cade Felch, 6-3, Jr., G/F, D.C. Everest
One of several talented players returning to the varsity squad at D.C. Everest, Felch is a good shooter with size and the ability to score inside the arc off aggressive drives to the basket. As a sophomore, Felch made 61 three-point baskets for the Evergreens while averaging 9.3 points and 3.4 rebounds for coach Oliver Drake's squad. Felch, Cohen Priebe and Casey Stuedemann all return for D.C. Everest in 2024-25, making the Evergreens one of the elite squads in a very good WVC.

Western Conference

Rockets
Lucus Ludlum, 6-3, Sr., G, Platteville
Relentless in attacking the basket, Ludlum is a confident player who can draw fouls, finish through contact and make the extra pass to a teammate. He plays with aggressiveness, plenty of energy and a willingness to get on the floor for a loose ball or go get a rebound with a game on the line. He was picked as the Player of the Year in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference as a junior after averaging 15.3 ppg and leading Platteville to a 24-4 record and the league title.

Spurs
Roman Thompson, 6-4, Sr., G, Kettle Moraine
A 'go and get me a basket" type of player, Thompson can get it done offensively in a variety of ways. He has an improved shot from outside the arc, but appears to be at his best taking defenders off the dribble with his size, skill and physical strength. He is a difficult player to defend because he can use multiple moves to create separation from his opponent. A first-team all-Classic Eight Conference player as a junior, and one of the better class of 2025 prospects in the state, Thompson has played a key role on Kettle Moraine's state-qualifying teams the past two seasons. 

Trail Blazers
Joseph Daly, 6-6, Jr., F, New London
A cerebral big man who is equally comfortable playing in the post or facing the basket, Daly is a skilled forward with stellar skills and a very good feel for the game. He received second-team all-Bay Conference honors as a sophomore due in large part to his versatility. Daly is an unselfish player and solid passer who averaged 15.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 2023-24 while helping New London to a 16-9 record.

Clippers
Bryce Borowicz, 6-1, Sr., G, West De Pere
Rock-solid player in all aspects of the game. Communicates well on both ends of the court. Shoots it with deep range. Defends with purpose on the perimeter. Moves the ball quickly, and is quick to congratulate teammates. A unanimous first-team all-Bay Conference selection as a junior, Borowicz is a high-level shooter who competes with an exceptionally high basketball IQ. He understands the game and plays like a coach on the floor. Borowicz is coming off a season where he made 41 percent of his three-point attempts, making 79-of-189 tries while also averaging 16.9 ppg.   

Jazz
Cameron Williams, 6-2, Sr., G, Verona
An extremely explosive backcourt prospect who can drive the lane and finish above the rim, Williams ranked No. 1 among all 90-plus campers for in-game dunks. He has improved his ball handling and perimeter shooting skills and figures to be a key performer for a Verona team hoping to contend for the Big Eight Conference crown in 2024-25. Williams earned honorable mention all-Big Eight Conference recognition as a junior when he averaged 14.3 ppg for a team that went 15-11.

West De Pere senior guard Bryce Borowicz (6-1) defeated senior guard Drew Coombs (5-11) of Edgerton in the championship round of the Three-Point competition. Borowicz made seven three-point baskets in 30 seconds to win the competition.

The Nets squad coached by Beaver Dam head coach Tim Ladron won the team championship at the WBY Camp. Team members included Pacelor Moll of Poynette, Michael Busateri of Oak Creek, Henry Wellinghoff of Hartford, William Sieracki of Valders, Jesse Napgezek of Wausau East, Myles Sinette of Altoona, Parker Blank of Beaver Dam, Casey Stuedemann of D.C. Everest and Branden Aprill of Kiel.

Members of the winning Three-On-Three squad included senior guard Preston Johnson of River Falls, senior guard Olin Zellmer of Edgerton, senior guard Cade Stasiek of Spring Valley and junior Landon Michlig of West Salem.

Regis backcourt aces Owen Weisenberger and Blake Risler defeated Andrew Braun of Madison Memorial and sophomore Eli Krueger of McFarland in the Two-Man Shooting competition.
