Twenty-nine varsity teams competed at the 4th annual WSN All-State Summer Shootout at Beaver Dam High School last week.

Following are some observations from the annual event:

Standouts from Pools A-B

Tessa Bryan, 5-9, 2027, PG, Waunakee 
Bryan dominated both ends of the court at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout, leading Waunakee to a 3-0 record. The NCAA Division I prospect is quick, can score at all three levels, and combined with her athleticism she caused problems for her opponents at Beaver Dam. Bryan netted a game-high 21 points in a 52-49 overtime win against Oregon. She also led the Warriors with 17 points in their victory over Muskego. Bryan averaged 11.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a freshman for coach Marcus Richter and the 13-13 Warriors.  

Melena Glysch, 5-11, 2025, F, Muskego 
Glysch, a first-team all-Classic Eight pick last season, led Muskego to a 2-1 record at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. The NCAA Division II Ferris State commit is tough in the paint and rebounds well and defends at a high level. Melena tallied 12 and nine points, respectively, in wins over New Berlin Eisenhower and Oregon at the event. As a junior, Glysch averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for coach Erik Loose and the 22-6 Warriors. 

Teagan Schoenecker, 6-0, G, 2026, Oregon 
Schoenecker showcased her versatility at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. She has length and athleticism paired with the ability to attack the basket to score or make plays for her teammates. Teagan scored 20 points in a win over New Berlin Eisenhower and 19 points in the Pathers’ overtime loss against Badger Large foe Waunakee. Last season as a sophomore, Schoenecker averaged 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest for coach Adam Wamsley and the 27-1 Panthers. 

Emily Gomez, 5-4, 2025, G, Kettle Moraine
Gomez showed why she earned first-team all-Classic Eight recognition this past season. She led Kettle Moraine to a 3-0 record, leading them in scoring in two of the three games, tallying 19 against Slinger and 16 versus St. Thomas More. Emily is a quick lefty who shoots it well from the perimeter and can create off the dribble for herself or find an open teammate. She averaged 14.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.8 steals per contest as a junior for coach Adam Stranc and the 17-10 Lasers.

Standouts from Pools C-D-E

Ariel Allen, 5-7, 2027, G, Milwaukee Academy of Science 
Allen helped lead Milwaukee Academy of Science to a 2-1 record at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. The quick guard showed off her playmaking and scoring in a close loss to Laconia, winners of the last two Division 4 WIAA state championships. As a freshman, Allen tallied 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.8 steals per game for coach Giovanni Riley and the 16-10 Lady Novas. 

Emmerson Drobac, 5-3, 2026, PG, Deerfield
Dobec led Deerfield to a 3-0 finish at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. Emmerson scored 18 points in a win over Sauk Prairie and 16 points in the Demons’ victory over Dodgeland. The talented shooter made seven 3-pointers over the three games. As a sophomore, Drobac tallied 10 points per game with 61 three-pointers made, along with 1.9 assists and 2.3 steals per contest for coach Don Schindler and the 17-9 Demons. 

Payton Morgan, 5-10, 2025, G, Laconia 
Morgan’s sharpshooting was on display last week at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout, helping lead Laconia to a 3-0 finish. The NCAA Division II Minnesota State commit scored a game-best 22 points, including connecting on six triples in Laconia’s win over Milwaukee Academy of Science. Payton, who has earned first-team WBCA all-state the past two seasons, averaged 9.9 points per game with 65 three-pointers made as a junior for coach and father Chris Morgan and the 28-2 Spartans, which have won the past two Division 4 WIAA state championships. 

Tierney Madigan, 5-10, 2025, G, Laconia 
Madigan, a first-team WBCA all-state selection in each of her first three seasons, leads the talented Laconia squad that has won the last two Division 4 WIAA state championships. The NCAA Division I prospect is athletic, strong off the dribble, and has good court vision to find an open teammate. Tierney tallied 15 points in a win over Platteville and had 11 points, including the go-ahead basket in the Spartans’ victory against Milwaukee Academy of Science. As a junior, Madigan averaged 14.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest for the 28-2 Spartans, winners of the last two Division 4 WIAA state titles. 

Jaeda Turner, 5-5, 2025, G, Milwaukee Academy of Science 
Turner’s scoring and ability to get steals on deflections on defense were on display at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. Jaeda, like teammate Allen, had a strong showing against a talented Laconia squad that has won the last two Division 4 WIAA state titles. Turner scored 16 in the four-point loss against Laconia and netted 14 in MAS’ victory against Platteville. As a junior, Turner averaged 15.9 points, 1.9 assists, and 3.1 steals per game for the 16-10 Lady Novas. 

Addy Verhagen, 5-4, 2025, PG, Sheboygan Lutheran 
Verhagen showcased her quickness and playmaking at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout, leading Sheboygan Lutheran to a 3-0 record. The point guard set the tone for the Crusaders,  leading the squad in scoring in all three of the games, scoring 22 points against Mauston, 15 versus Lakeside Lutheran, and 13 against Belmont. A first-team WBCA all-state pick as a junior, Verhagen averaged 14.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.3 steals per contest for coach Tyler Thomas and the 22-6 Crusaders.

Standouts from Pools F-G-H

Jasmin Heuer, 5-11, 2026, W, Fall Creek 
Heuer impacted the game on both ends, leading Fall Creek to a 3-0 record at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout. An honorable mention WBCA all-state selection as a sophomore, Jasmin attacked the basket, scoring in traffic and using her length on defense. She tallied 19 points against Wabeno/Laona, 15 points versus Shullsburg, and 11 points in a one-point win over Mineral Point. Heuer helped lead Fall Creek, coached by Jason Martzke, to a Division 4 sectional final last season, ending the year with a 24-4 record. 

Laci Lindsey, 5-9, 2025, G, Mineral Point 
Lindsey, an accomplished 3-point shooter, helped lead Mineral Point to a 2-1 record. She dropped 21 points, including connecting on three triples in the Pointers’ win over Shullsburg. Laci also had 13 points versus Wabeno/Laona and eight points in a close loss to Fall Creek. Lindsey’s length allows her to get shots up over smaller defenders while also being able to put the ball on the floor to create. Receiving first-team all-SWAL as a junior, Lindsey averaged 10.7 points per game with 45 three-pointers made for coach Nick Jelle and the 20-5 Pointers. 

Jaidyn Sullivan, 5-9, 2025, W, Columbus
A second-team all-Capitol North performer as a junior, Sullivan stood out at the WSN All-State Summer Shootout with her ability to take control on offense, leading Columbus to a 2-1 record. Jaidyn netted 17 points versus St. Augustine Prep, 14 points against Columbus Catholic, and tallied seven points in an overtime victory over Shicoton. As a junior, Sullivan tallied 11.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for coach Marcus Hensler and the 9-18 Cardinals.
