The first ever Midwest College Exposure Camp was held yesterday, August 1st by JustAgame at the JustAgame fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

Nearly 100 boys basketball players in the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes competed at the camp that was split into two different sessions. The morning was dedicated to stations of skill work conducted by college coaches from around the midwest (full list of attending colleges below). The afternoon session was for 15 minute, eventually lowered to 10 minute, games where the athletes were split up and once again coached by those college coaches.

Below are notes of standouts from the day.

Bryce Borowicz, West De Pere

Borowicz can shoot, plain and simple. At the Midwest College Exposure Camp, the senior guard knocked down shot after shot from deep at high percentage. At 6'1", he's got a quick release, great shot preparation, and a good shot selection. Last season he shot 41% from beyond the arc and averaged nearly 17 points per game, earning unanimous first-team All-Bay Conference honors.

Cale Buboltz, Sheboygan North

Buboltz was one of the better pure scorers at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. The 6'1" guard has a great feel for the game with the ball in his hands and is extremely shifty. His quickness and ball handling skills allow him to get to his spot on the court and from there uses a plethora of finishes to score at the rim. Buboltz also can shoot it from the outside as well, making him an efficient three-level scorer. Last season he averaged 17 points per game and was a first team All-Fox River Classic selection.

Charlie Cayley, Wausau East

Cayley is incredibly nimble for a player of his stature. At 6'6" and 250 pounds, Cayley's strength is widely apparent. He's also a very talented football player, having received offers to play at the next level. On the hardwood however, Cayley used his strength in the post to score almost at will. However, what was eye popping is his athleticism. The big man constantly beat his defender up and down the court and was able to guard on the perimeter with his exceptional foot work. Cayley averaged 13.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game last season and forms a very strong senior core at Wausau East this upcoming season.

Jesse DeBauch, Gillett

DeBauch doesn't jump off the charts physically, standing at just six feet tall. However, the reigning Player of the Year in the Marinette &  Oconto Conference uses his strength and frame to finish around and through bigger defenders. He displayed that many times throughout the day, shielding his finish attempts from much larger defenders and finishing at the rim. DeBauch's composure and body control are two of his best traits. Last season he averaged 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 43% from beyond the arc. He comes into his senior season having scored 1,203 career points.

Jaydan Garrett, Wausau East

Garrett may be undersized at 6'0", but the lead guard makes up for that in his strength and aggressiveness on the court. The son of Wausau East Dan Garrett, Jaydan displayed a high IQ with the ball in his hand at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. He led the transition by pushing the tempo and finding his teammates in space. Garrett's vision will serve as a great complement to a Wausau East team that has a very talented senior group.

Adam Guyette, Notre Dame

Guyette is a model of consistency with an expanded skill set. At 6'4" and with his strength, he guarded 1-5 on the court yesterday. Offensively, he is smooth with the ball in his hands, scoring at all three levels. Guyette has a way of lulling defenders to sleep before exploding by them with an explosive first step. He also displayed a high motor and willingness to defend. Last season he averaged 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 46% from deep.

Jacob Koon, Abundant Life Christian

Koon is a coaches dream when it comes to a teammate and competitor. Though undersized at 5'11", Koon does not back down from bigger opponents, using his quickness and tenacity to frustrate opponents on the defensive end. Offensively, he has great vision and feel for the game with the ball in his hand, setting teammates up to score time and again throughout yesterday's camp. Jacob was a first team All-Trailways South performer for last year's state runner-up squad and averaged 14.1 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game.

Jonah Koon, Abundant Life Christian

Jonah has many of the same traits his brother Jacob, though stands two inches taller at 6'1". His length and athleticism set him apart from his brother as well, as he made plays vertically at the camp yesterday, blocking shots from the help side and finishing above defenders. Koon was the leading scorer from the State runner-up squad last year, averaging 14.9 points per game and showcased his ability to score at all three levels yesterday.

Isaiah Mellock, Wisconsin Lutheran

Mellock showcased an improved scoring ability yesterday in Wisconsin Dells. The combo wing's confidence in his ability showed as he slashed his way to the rim consistently, finishing strong time and again. At 6'2" Mellock has a great combination of strength and athleticism on his frame. He averaged 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds for the WIAA Division 2 state champs last season and can be expected to have an expanded role in his senior campaign.

Jesse Napgezek, Wausau East

Napgezek may have been the biggest standout from yesterday's Midwest College Exposure Camp, grabbing eyeballs with his skill and consistency through the three hour period of hoops. At 6'3
" the senior wing is extremely versatile defensively. He also showcased a large skillset with the ball in his hand. Napgezek is tough to defend when he gets downhill and has the composure and IQ to then make the right play once he gets deep into the lane. His athleticism and high motor set Napgezek apart from the rest, as well as his ability to score off the dribble or from the perimeter. He averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists for Wausau East last year earning unanimous first-team all-Wisconsin Valley Conference honors.

AJ Ohrmundt, Arrowhead

Ohrmundt stood out yesterday at the camp, standing at 6'7" with an impressive wing span to boot. He was a constant defensive deterrent, swatting shot after shot near the rim. Ohrmundt not only walled up and blocked shots while guarding his man, but showed a great knack for help side defense, dropping and denying shots off the ball. Offensively, he scored with his back to the basket in a handful of ways, finishing at the rim or away from the hoop. Ohrmundt averaged 8.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game last year for the state runner-up squad.

Max Raimer, Sun Prairie East

Raimer displayed his full skillset at the Midwest College Exposure Camp yesterday. The 6'4" wing is a true playmaker with the ball in his hands, scoring off the dribble or via the step back. Raimer's passing ability is also above average, as he stacked up assists or would-be assists throughout the day. A high energy player, Raimer's motor paired with his skillset make him a tough matchup for many defenders. He averaged 17.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for Sun Prairie East last season and earned second-team All-Big Eight honors.

Camden Schurk, Pacelli

Schurk leaves bystanders in the gym in awe at times due to his incredible athleticism. At 6'2" Schurk finishes above the rim like those much taller than him. What sets his athleticism apart is the subtlety of it. His explosion from floor to rim is quick and aggressive. Schurk isn't just all springs though, he is skilled with the ball in his hand and has an above average mid range game. Defensively, he uses his length to pester ball handlers and works hard at it. Schurk averaged 20 points per game while playing for his dad John Schurk, and earned first-team All-CWC South and honorable mention Division 5 WBCA All-State honors.

Logan Sipple, Shawano

Sipple can score the ball from all three levels and did so at a high level at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. The 6'3" wing has a smooth stroke from the outside and displayed a wide ranging scoring ability at the rim, finishing away from would-be blockers as well and dunking over them. Sipple does a great job of getting by his defender and keeping that defender on his hip as he navigates his way to the rim. He averaged 19.9 points on 52% shooting last season and earned unanimous first-team All-Bay Conference honors.

Roman Thompson, Kettle Moraine

Thompson has grown in confidence and stature over the past few years, with that on full display at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. At 6'4" and put together, his size allows him to get to his spot constantly on the court. His skillset has improved tremendously as well as his shot, making him a real threat to score from anywhere within 27 feet. Thompson scored via catch and shoot, step back, mid range square up, and at the rim throughout the day. A returning first-team All-Classic Eight honoree, Thompson averaged 11.5 points for the state tournament Lasers.

Sam Wegener, Clintonville

Wegener has all the length at his 6'4" frame and uses it well to score at the rim, in the mid range, and from deep. His athleticism stands out immediately, which lend to Wegener being a great two-sport athlete, also excelling on the football field at the wide receiver position. Yesterday, the senior wing displayed his downhill scoring ability while also showing off a mid-range game that he uses his vertical ability to get shots off over defenders. Wegener earned second-team All-North Eastern honors last season, averaging 14.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

Calvin Anderson, Superior

Anderson's athletic ability jumped off the charts while competing yesterday. He can play on the ball, off the ball, or in the post and is a versatile defender as well. At 6'5", Anderson excels in the mid range as he uses a strong vertical to elevate above defenders in tight spaces. Anderson averaged 16 points per game as a sophomore and has great upside coming into his junior campaign.

Alex Berget, Holmen

Berget is a crafty lefty who has an all-around game. At just 5'10" Berget does a great job of getting his shot off despite larger defenders in his face. Thursday, he knocked down shots from deep at a high percentage while also displaying an aggressive, in-your-face defensive mentality. As a sophomore, Berget averaged 12.4 points per game and made 60 of 131 shots from deep (46%).

Mason Brone, Gale-Ettrick,Trempealeau

Brone has a very good feel for the game of basketball. His instincts and playmaking ability were on full display yesterday. Brone's 6'2" athletic frame and ball handling skillset allow him to blow by defenders where his vision and decision making are above average. Brone averaged 12.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds lasts season and was a second-team All-Coulee performer.

Noah Daniel, Oak Creek

Daniel is an above average athlete with great strength for his size at six foot. He used that strength and athleticism to blow by defenders yesterday at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. Daniel got to the rim and finished through contact constantly as his first step downhill is explosive. As a sophomore, he averaged 9.4 points per game for the Knights, adding 3.5 points and 2.8 assists per game.

Devon Feck, Rhinelander

Feck was one of the better shooters that competed yesterday in Wisconsin Dells. He was constantly hunting his shot, coming off of screens and displaying exceptional footwork to position himself to get his shot off quickly. Last season as a sophomore, he shot 51% from beyond the arc while averaging 9.4 points per game and earning second-team All-Great Northern honors.

Valin Ramberg, Marshfield

Ramberg displayed an ever-growing scoring ability yesterday, putting the ball in the hoop in a multitude of ways. Off the bounce in the half court and transition, the 6'6" forward was a tough matchup. Bigs struggled to keep up with Ramberg, while he backed down and scored over small guards. Ramberg averaged 5.6 points per game as a sophomore for Marshfield and is primed for a break out year during the 2024-25 season.

Blake Risler, Regis

Risler is a high volume scorer and can do so in a variety of ways. He is not afraid to step into an open look and knocked them down at a high clip on Thursday. Risler has a pure shooting stroke from beyond the arc, but also scored in the mid range and at the rim. At 6'3", it appears he still has some growing to do, which would make him a matchup nightmare in the Cloverbelt West. Last season Risler averaged 20.3 points per game and made 70 three-point shots while earning first-team all-conference honors.

JT Schlaefer, Assumption

Schlaefer is a floor general in every aspect of the word. He excels in the open court, running the transition offense with ease whether it be scoring at the rim or assisting his teammates. An extremely unselfish player, Schlaefer at times passes up his own shot in order to set up a better one for a teammate. Last season he averaged 14.4 points per game and though he shot it at a lower clip, made over 40% from deep.

James Brady, Tigerton

Brady is a presence on the court already and he's just a sophomore. At 6'7" the big man draws your eye right when you enter the gym. He showed promise throughout the day, using his strength to finish while also displaying a willingness and skill to pass from his back to the basket. Just a sophomore, Brady will be a problem in the CWC-North, and will need to continue to develop not just his skillset, but athletically as well.

Quinn Gerke, Tomah

Gerke is an ever-rising prospect in the 2027 class in Wisconsin. His feel for the game is years ahead of his sophomore standing as he showcased a steadying approach throughout Thursday. Gerke knocked down shots from the outside on top of his ball handling abilities. He does a great job of lulling a defender to sleep then using his acceleration to blow by defenders where he then displays good decision making. Gerke averaged 18 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a freshman and earned second-team All-Mississippi Valley honors.

Miles Schmidgall, Fall Creek

Schmidgall is promising player to watch in the Class of 2027, standing at 6'7" and showcasing an improved game. His length was a problem defensively throughout the day. Offensively, Schmidgall hit shots from the outside while also scoring in a variety of ways at the rim. Schmidgall's athletic ability and skillset make him a prime candidate to have a breakout season during his sophomore campaign.
