The West Allis Central Bulldogs have been selected as the Week 2 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team ended a 44-game losing streak to get the season off on the right foot. The Bulldogs were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 2. A total of 8,332 votes were cast, as West Allis Central's 2,661 votes edged Chippewa Falls' 2,256 votes.

West Allis Central ended what had been tied for the state's longest losing streak, downing Brown Deer 20-19 on Friday night to stop a 44-game drought. The Bulldogs had last tasted victory on August 31st, 2018 against Pius XI Catholic in a 14-6 win.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
