Josiah Johnson of Milwaukee Academy of Science has been selected as the Week 3 Jolly Good Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Novas take down Kenosha St. Joseph in the team's first-ever conference game. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 5,205 were cast, as Johnson's 1,843 were enough to edge out second place Chas Powell of Sussex Hamilton, who tallied 1,680 votes.

Milwaukee Academy of Science rallied from a halftime deficit to score an impressive 52-22 win over Kenosha St. Joseph on Friday, making a statement in its first game as a member of the Midwest Classic-Large. Senior running back Josiah Johnson was unstoppable for the Novas, carrying the ball 20 times for 292 yards and five touchdowns as the team put up just shy of 600 yards of offense.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Jolly Good Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
