Jolly Good Week 4 Player of the Week Nominees

Latayvious Brown, Milwaukee Hamilton

Brown ran wild as Hamilton moved to 3-1 on the season with a 52-26 win over Milwaukee Marshall. The junior running back carried the ball just 13 times, but rushed for 391 yards and four touchdowns, averaging an impressive 30 yards per attempt. Not only that, he returned three kickoffs, including one for a touchdown as he averaged 57 yards per kick return as well.

Brady Hilgart, Grafton

Grafton rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to score a key 43-34 win over Wisconsin Lutheran to remain undefeated in the Woodland Conference. Senior quarterback Brady Hilgart produced big play after big play in the passing game, including a 51-yard touchdown strike to Matthew Clemens to put the team ahead in the final period. He finished the day with 360 yards and five touchdowns, completing 16-of-27 passes.

Lucas Peters, Rice Lake

Rice Lake got big contributions from a number of returning standouts from last year's Division 3 state title team to take down Menomonie 36-19 and remain undefeated this season. Peters led the Warriors in rushing, carrying the ball 14 times for 145 yards and a score. His 54-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter helped put the game away. Over on defense, he recorded seven tackles to help keep the Mustangs offense in check.

Drew Roers, Reedsburg

Senior Drew Roers booted home a 24-yard field goal as time expired to lift Reedsburg to a 30-28 win over La Crosse Logan in a Mississippi Valley Conference showdown on Friday. He was also a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points and handled kickoff duties for the Beavers, including executing a successful onside kick with less than a minute remaining. A multi-sport fall athlete, he is also the starting goalie for the boys soccer squad.

Brett Shutter, Plymouth

Plymouth running back Brett Shutter opened the scoring in Friday's 55-13 win over Lakeside Lutheran by throwing a 10-yard touchdown, but also did plenty of damage with his legs the rest of the way. Despite calling it a night early int eh blowout victory, he finished with 220 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries, averaging 12.2 yards per attempt. Shutter also caught a five-yard pass and forced a fumble on defense for the Panthers.
