The Jolly Good Football Player of the Week is ready to go for 2024. Voting is featured at the bottom of this article. Voting is open until Thursday at 2 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint: Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

Jolly Good Week 5 Player of the Week Nominees

Anthony Brown, Wisconsin Lutheran

Wisconsin Lutheran built an early lead and ended up pulling away for a 54-33 win despite 20 fourth quarter points by Whitnall. Anthony Brown ran for three touchdowns, including the final 18-yard score to help put things away in the fourth quarter. Brown would finish with 261 rushing yards and three scores on just 12 carries, averaging more than 21 yards per attempt.

Landon Lopez, Greendale

In the Kwik Trip and Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week, Greendale raced out to a 35-7 halftime advantage behind three touchdown passes by senior quarterback Landon Lopez. He'd finish 16-of-17 passing in the game, throwing for 267 yards with a short touchdown run as well in a 49-14 win over Greenfield.

T.J. Pink, Platteville

Platteville trailed 19-7 in the second quarter, but came charging back for a 44-22 win over Lancaster in the 96th meeting between the Grant County rivals. Hillmen quarterback T.J. Pink helped lead the charge, throwing for 326 yards and five touchdowns, completing 18-of-31 passes. 

Owen Preimesberger, Mt. Horeb/Barneveld

Mount Horeb/Barnveld took control of the Badger-Small Conference with a 54-0 win over Stoughton, leaving the Vikings as the only unbeaten team in league play. Senior running back Owen Preimesberger ran for three scores before halftime as MHB put a running clock on Stoughton before the break. He'd finish with 13 carries for 171 yards, adding a 25-yard touchdown catch just before halftime as well.

Jace Thomsen, Monona Grove

Monona Grove handed Milton its first loss of the year, defeating the Red Hawks 26-21 in a come from behind victory. Trailing 21-20 in the fourth quarter, Jace Thomsen found Tremayne Habeck for a 31-yard score to provide the winning points. Thomsen completed 11-of-19 passes in the game for 170 yards and four touchdowns, also leading the Silver Eagles with 114 rushing yards on 22 carries. He even caught a seven-yard pass and recorded a tackle.
