The Beaver Dam Golden Beavers have been selected as the Week 5 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team scored an impressive win over Plymouth on Friday night for its first East Central Conference victory. The Golden Beavers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 4,139 votes were cast, as Beaver Dam's 3,383 votes edged Wausau East's 3,175 votes.

Beaver Dam scored its first win over an East Central Conference opponent with a dominating 34-15 win over previously undefeated Plymouth. The Golden Beavers out-gained the Panthers 416-166, with many of Plymouth's yards coming late when the outcome was decided. Josiah Barnes ran for 164 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, while Eli Bryant threw for 165 yards and a score. Brandon Morrissey added two rushing scores and the defense picked off three passes, two by Eli Johnson.
