Taylor Schaumberg of Lomira has been selected as the Week 7 Jolly Good Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Lions take down perennial power Saint Mary's Springs and stay on top of the Flyway Conference. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 7. A total of 6,610 votes were cast, as Schaumberg's 2,167 were enough to edge out second place Logan Ten Haken of New London, who tallied 2,066 votes.

Lomira took down Flyway heavyweight Saint Mary's Springs 21-7 on Friday night to remain in a tie for first place in the league standings heading into the final two weeks of the season. Senior running back Taylor Schaumberg was a workhorse for the Lions, carrying the ball 27 times for 140 yards and two scores, as he added two catches for 40 yards as well.
