Cuba City Cubans

In the Kwik Trip and Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week, Cuba City's experience helped the Cubans score a 14-12 win over Darlington, giving the team the outright SWAL title. Grantsburg Pirates

Grantsburg scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break a tie with Ladysmith en route to a 42-28 win on Friday night. Despite allowing nearly 400 passing yards to the Lumberjacks, Grantsburg was able to score the win, which puts them alone in first place in the Lakeland Conference. Ian Burkman ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns, while Brock Matheny had 242 total yards and accounted for three scores.

Kimberly Papermakers

After its first loss of the season to Neenah in Week 7, Kimberly rebounded with a 38-20 win over Kaukauna forces a three-way tie atop the league standings with a week to go. Braedon Ellefson completed 13-of-16 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns and added 41 rushing yards as well. Aaron Cullen hauled in six passes for 109 yards and a score.

Spring Valley Cardinals

In a showdown for first place in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference, Spring Valley scored the go-ahead touchdown with just 1:19 left when Cade Stasiek ran in from six yards out, lifting the Cardinals to a 19-18 win over Boyceville. In a defensive slugfest, Spring Valley's defense limited Boyceville to just 155 yards, ending the Bulldogs' 15-game conference winning streak.

Waukesha South Blackshirts

Waukesha South ended a 24-game conference losing streak dating back to September of 2021, downing West Allis Central 41-12 on Friday. In its first year in the Parkland Conference, South got a big game from quarterback Cooper Wiltz, who ran for 126 yards and a touchdown, adding 65 passing yards and a touchdown.
