Week 9 WisSports.net Team of the Week Nominees

Ashwaubenon Jaguars

Ashwaubenon needed to win in Week 9 just to get on the playoff bubble, and the Jaguars took down Green Bay Preble 16-14, which was enough to get the team into the playoffs as one of the 3-4 qualifiers. Quarterback Malcolm McGrath threw for 204 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Mayville Cardinals

Mayville defeated Lomira 21-14, forcing a three-way tie for the Flyway Conference title between the two teams and Saint Mary's Springs. Sawyer Hardesty ran for a team-high 88 yards with a touchdown, while Ryan Clark and Joren Schlender also scored rushing touchdowns.

Potosi/Cassville

It was a showdown for first place in the Six Rivers Conference, and after trailing heading into the fourth quarter, Potosi/Cassville managed to remain unbeaten and claim the league title by rallying for a 27-18 victory. Dawson Weber threw for 137 yards and two scores, adding a short touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the team on top.

Richland Center Hornets

Richland Center needed to win to get on the proverbial playoff bubble, and the Hornets would race out to a 21-0 lead that eventually stretched to 35-6 before cruising home for a 56-28 win over Brodhead/Juda. Richland Center posted 471 yards of offense in the game, including a huge performance by quarterback Jayden Schoepp, who completed all four of his passes for 189 yards and three scores. Wes Bosworth led the team with 107 yards on the ground, while Brady Dosch ran for 96 yards with three touchdowns.

Slinger Owls

Slinger's 45-7 win over Cedarburg on Friday night gave the Owls an outright North Shore Conference championship, capping off an unbeaten regular season. Michael Thiede was extremely efficient, completing eight-of-12 passes for 115 yards and a score, adding two rushing touchdowns as well. Kobe Hendricks led the Owls with 143 rushing yards.
