A record number of votes were cast in the February boys basketball player of the month poll, and Three Lake's Garrett Thorn has been selected as the winner in a statewide vote. Thorn received 3397 votes (42% of the total) to barely edge Whitehall's Ryan Sygulla by a slim margin. The 8033 total votes cast was over 2.5 times as many votes as had ever been submitted in the Player and Team of the Month voting. Congratulations to all the nominees.

Garrett Thorn, Three Lakes -
Three Lakes closed out a perfect 18-0 Northern Lakes Conference mark in dominating fashion, winning their five NLC games in February by an average of 38.5 points per game. They were tripped up in a non-conference game against Division 1 undefeated Antigo, but Garrett Thorn played a key role throughout the month. The rugged 6-6 senior averaged 23.6 points and 11 rebounds per game during February while shooting an impressive 68% from the field.
