The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association released updated rankings today.  La Crosse Central and Madison Edgewood retain the top spots in Divisions 1 and 2 respectively.  In D3, Park Falls takes over the top spot, while one-loss Pecatonica jumped in front of Barneveld, despite the fact that Barneveld remains undefeated.

There has been seven more no-hitters in the state since our last update, including four last Thursday. Trevor Morning of Bloomer, Josh Honzik of De Pere, Eric Grom of Peshtigo, Mike Verbeten of Wrightstown, Dylan Vassar of De Soto, Jordan Jess of Ripon, and Cody Schreiner of Jefferson added their names to the list.

Westosha Central's Brett Marth has been a big contributor for the Falcons, only a few months removed from a diagnosis of cancer.  Appleton East's David Salzwedel is profiled and shares his love of the Boston Red Sox.

Waupun pushed their way to the top of the Wisconsin Little Ten standings with a big extra inning win over Milwaukee LutheranFond du Lac had a nice week, going 3-0 including a key 3-2 win over fifth-ranked KimberlyRosholt flexed their muscles with a 19-3 whalloping of Tri-County last Thursday.

Ripon allowed just two hits combined in a doubleheader sweep of Berlin Saturday, with one of the games being the previously mentioned no-hitter from Jordan Jess.  Evansville and McFarland split their doubleheader Saturday, giving Evansville it's first loss on the season.  Argyle rebounded nicely from the news that senior Matt Cash would be lost for the season due to a broken nose and cheekbone caused by getting hit with a pitch.  The Orioles pulled out a gritty 3-2 win over Albany on Friday.  New Richmond has stayed in the Middle Border Conference race with solid pitching and just enough timely hitting.
