Colby - Both Colby and Regis entered Friday night's Cloverbelt contest unbeaten and tied atop the league standings. As expected, the contest was a battle through the first half, with Colby clinging to a slight 7-6 lead at halftime. The Hornets would pull away though, scoring 24 unanswered points in the second half to secure a 31-6 victory and sole possession of first place in the conference. Dylan Loertscher led a balanced rushing attack with 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.

New Lisbon - The Rockets entered Friday's showdown with undefeated and 8th-ranked Necedah at just 1-4 and 0-3 in the Scenic Bluffs conference, having lost four games in a row since an opening week victory over winless Kickapoo/La Farge. The makings of a mismatch right? Well, someone forgot to tell the Rockets, scored 15 fourth quarter points to shock the Cardinals 23-20. Quarterback Matt Spaniol scored on a one yard run and then hooked up with Elliott Bunker from 12 yards out to provide the winning score.

New Richmond - While there aren't a lot of details available for this game, it has to be included based on the history between these two rivals. One of the more heated rivalries in the area, Somerset had dominated the larger Tigers in recent seasons. Friday night was a different story though, as New Richmond put it all together and turned in a 16-0 shutout of the Spartans. Appropriately enough, the teams are now tied for second in the Middle Border Conference at 3-1.

Waukesha West - A great match-up between two outstanding programs that just happen to be in the same city. Waukesha West entered Friday's showdown ranked #10 in Division 1 while Catholic Memorial had held the #1 spot in Division 3 since the beginning of the year. A win by CMH would have virtually eliminated West from title contention in the Classic Eight. The Wolverines responded with a 30-17 victory led by 177 yards and 1 touchdown from running back Joe Schobert and 139 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 6 of 7 passing from Brandon Berghoefer.

Waunakee - For just the second time in state history, a pair of defending state champions would match-up in the regular season when Waunakee hosted Reedsburg. Waunakee, last year's D2 champs, jumped out early on Reedsburg, the D3 champ, and roared to a 36-0 halftime lead, meaning the clock would run at the beginning of the second half. Reedsburg punched in a few scores to eliminate the running clock, but the outcome was never in doubt as the Warriors won 43-14. Hunter Darger connected with Austin Maly three times for 144 yards and 3 TD's in the first half and finished 13 of 16 for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns in the rout.
