The New Lisbon Rockets have been selected as the Week 6 WSN Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. The Rockets shocked undefeated Scenic Bluffs rival Necedah 23-20 Friday night. New Lisbon was selected from a very strong group of nominees. The Rockets received 36% of the vote, edging runner-up Colby who received 33%.

The Rockets entered Friday's showdown with undefeated and 8th-ranked Necedah at just 1-4 and 0-3 in the Scenic Bluffs conference, having lost four games in a row since an opening week victory over winless Kickapoo/La Farge. The makings of a mismatch right? Well, someone forgot to tell the Rockets, scored 15 fourth quarter points to shock the Cardinals 23-20. Quarterback Matt Spaniol scored on a one yard run and then hooked up with Elliott Bunker from 12 yards out to provide the winning score.
