Edgar - The Wildcats continue to chug along, and have been even more dominant this year than they were last season. In Week 7, Edgar defeated Marawood Conference rival Stratford 32-0 to extend their shutout streak to 7 games, remain unbeaten on the year, and stay atop the conference standings. Kyle Schueller and Jorie Skrzypchak had outstanding games for the Wildcats, combining for 274 yards rushing and 5 TD's. Edgar has now shutout 18 of it's last 21 opponents (all wins); it is truly amazing what head coach Jerry Sinz and company are doing this season.

Hudson - Hudson entered Friday's game at Menomonie at 2-2 in the Big Rivers Conference, needing a win over the undefeated Indians to stay in good shape for the playoffs. Menomonie scored first and last, but Hudson recorded 16 points in between, including a big 33 yard field goal from Jake Denison in the third quarter, to hold off the Indians for a 16-14 victory. Struggling in the ground game, the Raiders turned to quarterback Luke Miller, who completed 12 of 17 passes for 184 yards and 1 touchdown. Miller also added a score on a 12-yard run in the third quarter. The win moves Hudson to 3-2 in the conference, good for a tie for fourth with Eau Claire Memorial. They face winless Eau Claire North next week with a chance to clinch a playoff berth.

Martin Luther - Both Martin Luther and Racine St. Catherine's entered Friday's showdown at 4-1 in the Midwest Classic-South standings, one game behind leader Catholic Central. It was a back and forth affair throughout, with Martin Luther getting on the board first on a 45-yard scoring pass from Daniel Kucharski to Jacob Reinke. The game was tied 14-14 heading into the fourth quarter, until St. Cat's converted from one yard out to make it 20-14. The extra point attempt failed however, which would be a big play in the game. Martin Luther drove down the field and tied it at 20 with 2:22 left in the game on a 6-yard run by Reinke. Ben Schreib nailed the extra point to put the Spartans up 21-20. The defense held, allowing Martin Luther to take the 21-20 victory. They face conference-leading Catholic Central next week with a share of the MCC-South lead on the line.

Plymouth - In a game that lived up to the hype, Plymouth knocked off Division 3's top-ranked team Kewaskum 14-6 Friday night in a match-up of teams unbeaten in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference (Plymouth had one non-conference loss). Ranked #8 in Division 3, the Panthers found themselves trailing 6-0 at halftime. A pair of scoring drives were capped off by Mitch Unger touchdown runs, and the defense did the rest of the work as Plymouth held on for the win to claim sole possession of first place in the league.

Thorp - Coming off a pair of close losses by a combined five points, Thorp faced a tough test in Week 7, traveling to undefeated and top-ranked Division 7 team Gilman. A win would also clinch a playoff berth for the Cardinals. They jumped out early on a 51-yard touchdown run by Spencer Olejniczak, and tacked on two more scores while holding Gilman in check to secure a 21-0 shutout. Olejniczak ran the ball 22 times for 217 yards, while quarterback Jordan Shilts scored on a pair of short touchdown plunges. The defense was outstanding obviously, holding 1,000-yard rusher Cody Rosemeyer to just 42 yards and also picking off Gilman once.
