The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA-sponsored events. Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport.

The first updated 2010-11 WSN Cup standings after the fall sports seasons find some familiar faces at the top of each of the three divisions.

In the Large Schools Division (enrollment over 1000 students), three-time defending champion Arrowhead has the lead after the fall sports season with 365 total points. The Warhawks took home team titles in boys cross country and girls swimming, with a third place finish in girls cross country and a fifth in girls golf. The football, boys volleyball, and girls tennis teams also scored points. Milwaukee Marquette is not far behind with 320 points thanks to a boys soccer title, runner-up finishes in boys cross country, and boys volleyball, and a state semi-final appearance in football. Of course their score is even more impressive when you consider Marquette is an all-boys school, with no points possible in the girls sports. Middleton, Waunakee, and Milton round out the top five.

Catholic Memorial, a three-time runner-up, has a sizable lead in the Medium Schools Division (500-1000 enrollment) with an all-divisions best 390 points after the fall sports season. The Crusaders captured three state titles this fall:  boys volleyball, girls volleyball, and boys soccer. Also, the football team finished as the Division 3 runners-up. Notre Dame (316) and two-time WSN Cup winner Madison Edgewood (313) are still within striking distance however. Notre Dame posted a state title in girls tennis and had strong finishes in girls golf, girls volleyball, boys soccer, and girls cross country. Edgewood scored three runners-up finishes:  girls golf, girls volleyball, and girls tennis.

The Small Schools Division has been won each of the past three years by Aquinas, but the Blugolds are not on top after the fall sports season. The Prairie School in Racine leads the way with 268.6 points, largely due to state titles in boys soccer and girls golf. Boys cross country, girls cross country, and girls tennis also scored points for the Hawks. Regis is second with 237.5 points, and while the Ramblers did not finish higher than third in any one sport, they did get strong performances from girls golf, girls tennis, football, girls volleyball, and boys soccer. Aquinas is still in the hunt after scoring 219 points in the fall sports season and sits in third place currently. A state runner-up finish by the boys soccer team was the top performance for the Blugolds.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions.  The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000.  Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500.  Schools are divided into two divisions based on enrollment.  In 2007-09 schools with enrollments of 900 or more are in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 are in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every sport.  Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points.  If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points.  For Co-op teams the total points are divided based on enrollment of the schools that participate in the co-op team.
