Deforest's Bryar Harper continued his dominance on the ground on Friday when the Norskies took on Madison Edgewood.  The back exploded for over 300 yards on his way to this week's Splash of the Week.

The senior punished the Crusaders for 345 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries (9.9 yards per carry).  He pulled off a 77-yard touchdown run mid-way through the first quarter to put the Norskies on the scoreboard.  He added a one yard score at the end of the first to tie the game at 14 apiece.

Harper, a three-time state wrestling qualifier,  opened the fourth quarter with a 30 yard score, but it wasn't enough as Deforest fell to Edgewood 24-20 in the end.  Friday's totals, along with last week's 274 yards and five touchdowns against Milton, puts Harper at a state-leading 619 yards through two games.  He also has eight touchdowns on the year.

The first-time varsity starter is on pace for 2,786 yards and 36 touchdowns.
