Germantown's Showalter, Dominican's Wilson, St. Catherine's Fouse and Bonduel's Thorne honored as Players of the Year in respective leagues

Germantown senior Zak Showalter has been voted Player of the Year in the North Shore Conference by the league’s eight coaches.
 
Showalter (6-2) is a four-year varsity performer and a high-energy, aggressive wing guard who defends with a purpose and hits the glass on both ends of the court. He is especially adept at getting into passing lanes for deflections and steals, which he often converts into easy baskets. Showalter is headed to Wisconsin in the fall as a preferred walkon.
 
Other first-team members on the all-North Shore squad include Germantown senior Josh Mongan, Germantown junior Luke Fischer, Germantown senior Daniel Studer and Homestead junior Luke Worthington.
 
Second-team members include Germantown senior Zack Kumbier, Homestead junior Jake Laihinen, Nicolet junior Eugene Bonner, Port Washington junior Joey Burbach and Whitefish Bay junior Kelin Johnson. 
 
Honorable mention honors went to Grafton senior Robbie Doring, Grafton junior Scotty Tyler, Homestead junior James Reilly, Milwaukee Lutheran senior Will Taylor, Milwaukee Lutheran senior Mike Bahr, Nicolet senior Corey Smith, Nicolet junior Tyler Miller, Port Washington senior Kyle Rismeyer, Whitefish Bay sophomore Joe Sherburne and Whitefish Bay senior Connor Weas.
 
Dominican’s Wilson named Player of the Year in Midwest Classic North
 
Whitefish Bay Dominican junior Duane Wilson has been voted Player of the Year in the Northern Division of the Midwest Classic Conference by the league’s nine coaches.
 
Wilson (6-3) is a dynamic point guard with stellar athleticism and length. He averaged 18.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 5.6 apg while also spearheading the Knights’ strong defense with his quickness and aggressiveness. Wilson committed to Marquette University on Tuesday.
 
Other first-team members on the all-Midwest Classic North squad include Dominican senior Jamall Taylor, Messmer sophomore Jonathan Carson, Brookfield Academy sophomore Sean Clarey, University School senior Josh Baker, Dominican senior Breon Jordan and Lake Country Lutheran junior Jacob Demmen.
 
Second-team members include Wayland Academy senior Zach Schubert, Messmer junior Darron Thomas-Virginia, Messmer senior Chris Letherwood, Messmer senior A.J. Anderson, Dominican freshman Diamond Stone, Brookfield Academy senior Domonique Criss, University School sophomore Djdade Denson and St. John’s Military senior Zach Detmer.
 
Honorable mention honors went to Brookfield Academy senior Lanre Oliyan, Hope School junior Chaunsey Smith, Lake Country Lutheran senior Kyle Bahr, Messmer senior Miles Childs, University School senior Julien Addison, Dominican senior Sam Starke, Lake Country Lutheran senior Carl Swanson, Living Word Lutheran senior Ben Werner, St. John’s Military freshman London Cobbs and Wayland Academy senior John Moran.
 
St. Catherine’s Fouse named Player of the Year in Midwest Classic South
 
Racine St. Catherine’s senior Jordan Fouse has been voted Player of the Year in the Southern Division of the Midwest Classic Conference by the league’s nine coaches.
 
Fouse, a versatile 6-foot-6 forward who signed with Green Bay, is able to affect a game with his scoring, passing, rebounding and shot blocking abilities. A three-year starter for coach Bob Letsch at St. Catherine’s, Fouse led the Angels to a share of the Southern Division title in the Midwest Classic Conference with Racine Lutheran by averaging 17.3 points per game.  
 
Other first-team members on the all-Midwest Classic South squad include Racine Lutheran seniors Peter Drummond and Ty Demuth, St. Catherine’s senior Justin Erickson, Shoreland Lutheran senior Randy Strutz, Catholic Central senior Abel Wagner and Kenosha Christian Life senior Melvin Pitt.
 
Second-team members include Kenosha St. Joseph juniors Bakari Collins and Chris Madden, Shoreland Lutheran senior Clay Rust and junior Adam Freitag, Prairie School junior Nick Lemley, Racine Lutheran senior Neko Graf and junior Clay Stevens and Catholic Central senior Colin Foote.
 
Honorable mention honors went to St. Catherine’s senior Cary Thomas, Prairie School senior Zack Zimmerman and sophomore Sam Hatem, Racine Lutheran seniors Jared Kosmala and Tyler Naegeli, Kenosha Christian Life senior Sam Brekke and sophomore Matt Pitt, Shoreland Lutheran seniors Mike Prue and Nathan Wasser, Kenosha St. Joseph junior Alex Foster, Catholic Central sophomore Tegan Miles and Martin Luther senior Adam Busch, sophomore Curtis Weathers and freshman Tywon Bressler.
 
Bonduel’s Thorne named Player of the Year in Central Wisconsin 8
 
Bonduel senior Jacob Thorne has been voted Player of the Year in the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference by the league’s eight coaches.
 
Thorne averaged a team-high 15 points per game while leading Bonduel to the league title and a 21-3 overall record.  
 
Other first-team members on the all-Central Wisconsin 8 squad include Amherst senior Willie Doll, Bonduel senior Nathan Doell, Pacelli sophomore Isaac Elliott, Shiocton junior Shane Kanaman and Wittenberg-Birnamwood junior Mitchell School.
 
Second-team members include Amherst senior Steve Maves, Iola-Scandinavia senior Jordan Beyersdorf, Pacelli sophomore Brett O’Sullivan, Shiocton junior Riley Van Asten, Weyauwega-Fremont senior Cal Swanson and Weyauwega-Fremont junior Tanner Ross.
 
Honorable mention honors went to Bonduel senior Spencer Froemming and junior Logan Artis, Manawa junior Wesley Krauss, Pacelli sophomore Jake Feltz, Shiocton junior Levi Singler and sophomore Jacob Van Asten, Weyauwega-Fremont junior Bryce Behn, Wittenberg-Birnamwood seniors Michael Hegewald and Chase Nier.
