Senior Softball Awards: Infielder/Catcher Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Softball Awards.

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the softball state tournament.

WSN Senior Softball Awards -- Infielder/Catcher Finalists:

Nicki Hauser, Stevens Point - Earned First Team All-State by the WFSCA last season and once again had a big season for the Panthers. She carried a .460 batting average which included 46 hits and drove in 43 runs for the Wisconsin Valley champs. 

Katelyn Huemmer, Sun Prairie - Katelyn is very quick, fundamentally sound and can play a number of positions. She played a key role in the Cardinals Big Eight Championship this season and looking to return to the state tournament. Last season, she earned Second Team All-State honors from the WFSCA and helped the Cardinals to a runner-up finish at the Division 1 state tournament.

Ali Murray, Pepin/Alma - Ali is hitting .579 with 6 home runs, 47 RBI's and 44 runs scored for the Eagles. Last season she earned Honorable Mention WFSCA All-State honors. 

Evie Schaller, Chippewa Falls - Evie was named Division 1 Player of the Year by the WFSCA last season after leading the Cardinals to the Division 1 state championship. She continues to put up monster numbers this season. 

Kindra Witthus, Hudson - Hit .589 as a junior and earned WFSCA Second Team All-State honors. She continued her hot hitting this season while also playing strong defense behind the plate and has the Raiders in Sectional play.
