Tanner Arnold of Turtle Lake boys basketball has been selected as the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week for the week of January 13 through 19 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were 5,719 votes cast this week, Arnold received 2,186. Meg Ellias of Mellen girls basketball finished with 2,112 votes.
Arnold, a 6-foot-2 guard, finished with a career-high 30 points, going 12-for-16 from the field, in a 74-56 win over Boyceville on Monday. Arnold also scored 24 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and 5 steals in a 75-43 victory against Clear Lake on Thursday.
For the season, Arnold is averaging 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest for the Lakers (7-3, 4-2).
