Jens Lantz of Ellsworth wrestling has been selected as the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week for the week of February 24 through March 2 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,690 votes this week and Lantz received 1,493 of them. Julia Silloway of Berlin girls basketball finished second with 504 votes. 

Lantz, a Wisconsin recruit, became the 13th wrestler in state history to win four individual state titles on Saturday. He won the 126-pound weight class with a technical fall over Sage Soppa of Abbotsford/Colby, 25-7, in the title match.

Lantz was the 120-pound champ as a junior, 113-pound champ as a sophomore, and 103-pound winner as a freshman.
