Jennifer Nehls of Denmark girls basketball has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of February 2 through 8 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,415 votes this week, Nehls received 1,311 votes. Justin Thomas of Arcadia boys basketball finished second with 677 votes. 

Nehls led the Vikings to wins over Bay leaders West De Pere and Seymour last week.

She finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in their 49-43 win over West De Pere on Tuesday. Nehls posted 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists in their 44-41 victory against Seymour on Friday.

She is averaging 13.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 steals per game for the 12-7 Vikings.
