Scharnek had a strong junior campaign, catching 12 passes for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition in the Classic Eight. His strong performances at off-season camps and combines only solidifies his spot as one of the most promising prospects for 2014. He ran a 4.62 40-yard dash time at the WFCA Combine in May and has recorded marks of 4.18 in the pro agility, 7.25 in the L-Drill, and an impressive 9 feet, 11 inches in the broad jump this summer as well. He has a good build at 6-3, 180 pounds, and with his leaping ability is able to go up and get balls over defenders. He has the agility to be effective underneath and after the catch as well. |
