Mallegni, a two-time D2 WBCA All-State pick, led McFarland to its first state tournament appearance since 1999 before falling to Notre Dame in a state semifinal. The 6-1 guard tallied 24.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 3.9 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game to go along with 67 three-pointers made for coach and mother Sara Mallegni and the 26-3 Spartans. Teagan, who has a long list of NCAA Division I offers, will enter her senior year with 1,705 points, 665 rebounds, 232 assists, 220 steals, and 173 three-pointers made in her career. Mallgeni was named honorable mention WBCA All-State as a freshman. |
